Mission Statement
The North Carolina Association of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine was chartered in 1987 and charged with several purposes:- To encourage and foster the healing arts of acupuncture and Oriental medicine.
- To assist in establishing acupuncture laws and codes to protect the interests of the public as well as the interests of qualified acupuncturists.
- To encourage and promote the upgrading of skills and abilities of acupuncturists by sponsoring continuing education programs.
- To encourage the formation of acupuncture schools and institutes.
- To promote and assist research in acupuncture and Oriental medicine.
- To educate the public regarding the nature and scope of acupuncture.
