On September 2, 2015 the NC Acupuncture Licensing Board filed a lawsuit to protect the public from the unlicensed practice of acupuncture by physical therapists offering “dry needling.” The complaint against the NC Board of Physical Therapy Examiners seeks judicial confirmation that the practice commonly know as “dry needling” is acupuncture.

The NC Association of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine supports this action to protect the public. In order to educate the public with the truth about the lack of physical therapy education and supervised training to “dry needle” we need your HELP. Please donate to our advocacy fund to assist in this important cause.
